On this auspicious occasion, the first event held at the newly owned and artfully decorated private dining room at Gusto on Gympie Terrace, Noosaville. The day was warm and the river view magnificent. 35 members and guests gathered on the outdoor terrace for appetizers delivered to “tickle our taste buds” while setting up palates for a delicious 6 course degustation.

Members proudly wore their colourful chaines as requested by our Bailli Leon Naus who welcomed us warmly.

Course by course exceeded our expectations delivering authentic French cuisine as a Frenchman of Timothee Lepoutre’s background and experience knows how. 

Prior to each course Tim as he is known, introduced each course along with his choice of matching wines, further wetting our appetites.

At the conclusion Tim introduced his kitchen brigade allowing us to show our appreciation of a well-executed menu.

Some of us were reluctant to leave… sitting outside on the terrace discussing our preferences for the various dishes and pairing of the wines.

The luncheon was an outstanding success serving a well-orchestrated menu, while delivering ascending and descending palate surprises.

The organisation and timing of each course, along with highly trained wait staff, the magical setting and camaraderie made for an exceptional Chaîne event.

Gusto on Gympie Terrace, Noosaville is a culinary landmark, now in the capable hands of Timothee Lepoutre and his wife. They recently bought the adjoining restaurant, doubling their floor space.
