Sunset Dinner at the Noosa Valley in Doonan
A Magical Night in an Enchanted Garden
The Sunshine Coast Chaine des Rôtisseurs kicked off 2020 with a delightful and unique evening. With a very strong turnout of 20 Members and their Guests.
We hopped on a 15-minute luxury mini-bus to Doonan, whilst sipping very cold champagne with the momentum building around the anticipation of the menu and wine choice.
We arrived at the Noosa Valley Manor B&B Retreat, to an enchanting and magical experience. The eclectic dining table setting, coupled with the setting sun shining through the outdoor crystal chandeliers made for a unique and beautiful evening.
We commenced more cold crisp champagne, antipasto skewers, crusty parmesan bruschetta, aged balsamic reduction, olive oil, basil. Then came zucchini flowers stuffed with anchovy & pecorino, gazpacho, basil oil.
We moved on with handmade spinach, ricotta ravioli, burnt sage butter, grana, accompanied by a beautiful fresh white wine. Organic lamb rack, panzanella salad, grana, was served with a strong dark red wine, and then triple chocolate semifreddo, berry Cointreau coulis, double cream finished up this exquisite meal.
The Chef came out to talk us through each course with authentic Italian passion, which added to the exciting ambience of the evening.
By the end of the evening the comradery and the spirit of friendship was strong, which was a terrific start to our year.
