The Young Chef Competition was conducted at the Gold Coast TAFE Saturday, March 9. The programme was well organised by the Vice Conseiller Culinaire, Oliver Cortez.
Prior to our dinner commencing, we held a brief AGM to ratify the audited financial accounts for 2018 and to thank our Vice Argentier, Pattie Keast, for her valued service over the past several years.
At the dinner that followed we had 44 members and guests attending. This was held in the Sunset Room of the QT Hotel where we announced the winner of the Young Chef Competition as well as enjoyed another evening of fine food and wine.
We congratulated the winner, Taylor Richardson from Palazzo Versace. Taylor will compete in the Australian Final in Adelaide in April 2020. The winner will be travelling to Canada later in the year for the International final.
